An anomalous materials license (AML) is a license issued by the Industrial Exophysics Regulatory Commission (IERC) to organisations wishing to possess certain exophysical materials, such as exofluids or even galraite. An AML sidesteps much of the red tape required in the standard Reality Control experimental licensure pathway, which requires all associated personnel to possess a Reality Manipulation License (RML). However, AMLs are not available for certain higher material quantities, or for usecases not approved by Raven and the IERC, including experimental purposes; and for those purposes, full RML licensure and Reality Control approval becomes necessary.
