Black Research/SPIKE

This article is a stub, and might be expanded in the future.

SPIKE (Survey Procedures, Investigation, and Knowledge Extraction) is the field operations division of Black Research. It performs analysis of active environmental anomalies and exoarchealogical investigations of Precursor sites, and is usually supported by Dimensional Investigation, Reconnaissance, and Enforcement (DIRE) operatives. SPIKE analysis is a key part of anomaly cleanup operations, such as that of Operation Lighthouse. Common SPIKE practice is to name exoarchaeological sites “Points” after nearby landmarks; examples include Herbert Point located in Herbert, Ballsbridge; Rathmore Point, located in Rathmore Chaos on Europa; and Cygnus Point, located in the Cygnus X-1 system.
