Silent Mountain

Silent Mountain is a Raven complex concerned with strategic defence located in Shenzhen, one of the three "Mountain" facilities that make up the organisation. The complex is used for the research and construction of top-secret experimental weapons, vehicles and aircraft, including spacecraft. The complex houses a spaceport and a massive shipyard for the construction of spacecraft. It is the headquarters of Raven's Engineering division, and houses a number of Black Research laboratories. The facility also serves as a general military base for Armed Services and Calamity Mitigation, housing both Military Intelligence and Combat Laboratories.

The complex was constructed in 2203, as a solution to multiple decades of limited space in Black Mountain that was limiting R&D efforts, as well as to strengthen the bond between Raven and China and allow the organisation to benefit directly from the rich engineering industry of Shenzhen. The spaceport elements of Silent Mountain were a later addition that came after Raven pledged to reduce its reliance on contractors and bring some of its vehicle assembly in-house. Unlike Black Mountain’s stylised appearance, Silent Mountain has a more industrial look: massive flat and boxy buildings, similar to that of many aerospace assembly facilities.
