Special Movement Authorisation is an Internal Security protocol that allows individuals in select job roles to bypass certain Black Mountain security protocols, freely moving between sectors as well as in and out of the facility. These individuals include those who being subject to normal security restrictions would otherwise adversely impact their operational duties. To be a candidate for special movement authorisation (SMA), a Gamma Star clearance at minimum is required; candidates must also receive an explosive Personnel Termination System (PTS) implant. The existence of special movement authorisation is secret.

Personnel travelling with Checkpoint Bypass credentials must be armed and must travel in pairs. SMA does not permit access to the Sigma Unit, or any areas designated as Reality Critical.

Role examples:

  • Calamity Mitigation operatives (free movement in and out of the facility)
  • Reality Control Investigation agents (free movement in and out of the facility)
  • Strategic Intelligence Office agents (widespread facility access; checkpoint bypass)
  • Internal Security agents (complete facility access; checkpoint bypass)
