Raven/Disaster Response

The Disaster Response (AS-DR) division of Armed Services is responsible for all response, recovery, and search and rescue efforts during an active exophysical disaster or in the wake of a calamity. Disaster Response responds to disasters that are not classified as calamities and as such do not justify the deployment of Calamity Mitigation (CMI) forces, which make up the vast majority of disasters responded to by Raven; though CMI forces may still be deployed initially if the calamity status of a disaster cannot initially be determined. AS-DR may also step in to replace CMI if an active calamity is downgraded to a disaster. After a disaster or calamity, AS-DR works actively with local authorities for search and rescue. While Disaster Response is a military division, it is non-combat, and if military intervention is required alongside disaster response efforts AS-CET, AS-SO, DIRE, and/or Reality Control Enforcement personnel will join AS-DR.
