Technical Systems (TechSys) is the department of Raven that maintains IT infrastructure, communications, security, and other systems. It has several divisions, including DSCR, COMSEC, CRYPTO, IT, and MCOM. Because TechSys employees often need to work across multiple classification levels (for example, there is at least one datacentre for each in the case of MCOM), there are TechSys offices in all classification areas and not all employees need to be cleared to the highest levels of data TechSys handles. It is led by Dr. Cillian Clark.

DSCR

DSCR (Defence Systems & Command Resources) is the department of Technical Systems responsible for maintaining physical security infrastructure in Raven facilities, including blast doors, defence systems, card readers, and alarms.

The R&M division of DSCR is for critical work requiring intensive training and a high clearance level, such as on Sentinels in sentry antechambers and bridge laboratory closeout communications system (CCS) bunkers.

COMSEC

COMSEC (Communications Security) is responsible for the deployment and security of network infrastructure within Raven facilities including the physical protection of critical networking components. There is at least one physically airgapped network per classification level.

CRYPTO

CRYPTO (Cryptographics) is the single point of management for all cryptographic key material within Raven and handles the deployment and servicing of cryptographic modules such as Metatron Hardline devices.

Information Technology

The Information Technology (IT) division is responsible for the installation and upkeep of end user computer terminals, PDAs, phones, and peripherals. IT is also responsible for providing support to users and operates personnel-facing helpdesks.

Managed Compute

The Managed Compute (MCOM) division maintains and deploys server infrastructure to meet Raven's needs, including the management of internal datacentres. There is at least one MCOM datacentre per classification level.
