Personnel Termination System

The Personnel Termination System (PTS) was a project at the highest levels of secrecy developed by Black Research for Internal Security. It was intended to develop a microscopic, radio-controlled explosive charge that could be implanted into the neck of resident Raven personnel on leave outside their facilities to prevent defections (or more specifically, the leaking of classified information) by completely destroying their spinal cord and brain.

The project’s original motivation was created by the successful defection of a Raven engineer, who managed to destroy his tracking implant and lose his personal SIO guard. However, the project never passed its trial phase, and was terminated in 2243 by the High Council when an implant accidentally detonated on board a commercial Paradigm flight to Mars, killing all 231 passengers aboard.
