Field Agent

A field agent is an agent of the Strategic Intelligence Office who works in the field. While their primary role is the collection of HUMINT, they conduct sabotage and assassination missions far more often than intelligence field agents in the real world, especially when no other assets to provide plausible deniability are available, or when time is a critical factor. SIO field agents are given a large degree of operational discretion, but usually remain tightly attached to their handler and the O&T Advisory lawyers of Compliance & Legal. The role is one of a small number eligible to receive a special movement authorisation, allowing agents to move freely in and out of Raven facilities without seeking prior authority from Internal Security, but this comes at the cost of receiving an explosive Personnel Termination System implant. Agents are also tasked with escorting Gamma-cleared or higher personnel when they leave secure facilities, where they either usually blend in as a personal friend or family member, or stay unseen within a line of sight.
