DMS Officer

DMS Officers are special members of a bridge laboratory security team who have undergone the Gamma Star clearance process to ensure their reliability and their adherence to the Dimensional Security Accords. They are tasked with manning the Dead Man's Switch (DMS) bunkers, the part of the Facility Termination System that acts as the last resort against a compromised facility.

Officers are required to undertake daily Full Depth Memory Screening (FDMS) panels administered by Internal Security to ensure their mental stability. DMS officers technically report to the facility's Chief Protective Security Officer (CPSO), but it is illegal for the CPSO to give DMS officers commands which prevent them from discharging their duties.
