Internal Security (INTSEC) is the personnel security and counterintelligence arm of Raven, designed to combat insider risks. It is headquartered in Black Mountain, and divided into several sub-departments, including Technical Security R&D, Access Control Management, Auditing & Logging, Personnel Intelligence, Onboarding & Offboarding, Special Ops, and Vetting. It works closely with Raven's Strategic Intelligence Office (SIO), and is responsible for information classification, declassification, and clearance issuance, renewal, and revocation. The department's current leader is Director Enos Shor. It answers directly to the High Council and no other department.

Special Ops

The Special Ops division of Internal Security is a militarised force of agents who are equipped similarly to Calamity Mitigation operatives - exosuits, exophysical weaponry and fractal armour. The division is further divided into Field Operations, Area Defence, and Close Protection teams. Field Operations agents enforce the will of Raven in the wider Black Mountain and at other Raven facilities; Area Defence agents specifically defend the Sigma Unit and other Sigma-classified areas, such as those where Sigma-cleared personnel will be likely to reside. Close Protection teams are responsible for personally guarding Sigma-cleared personnel when outside the Sigma Unit, such as members of the High Council. Agents are highly trained and professional, again similar to CMI operatives, and possess a high degree of operational discretion. They have the authority to act completely independently, should the justification arise.
