Central Biosecurity Service

The Central Biosecurity Service (CBS) is a department of the Coalition that oversees serious and wide-spanning biosecurity affairs across member countries. Its mandate covers many threats, including self-propagating organisms, pathogens, and bioterrorism. The International Biohazard Response Unit (IBRU) is a militarised division of the CBS designed to be the first responders on the scene for an internationally significant threat. On the exophysics side, the CBS is closely associated with Raven and IRTO to manage the biosecurity risk of bridges into alternate dimensions, and part of the Reality Control certification procedure for a bridge laboratory is CBS-provided personnel training and licensing, as well as the certification of the bridge room by the CBS as a BSL-6 area.
