Pulmonary Performance Enhancer

The Pulmonary Performance Enhancer (PPE) was a low-cost cybernetic augmentation developed by BioCorp for athletes to enhance the performance of the circulatory system. It consisted of a compartment which completely replaced the front of the lower chest with a transparent panel, integrating two large pumps that would completely bypass the heart when enabled. The augment had a side effect of causing the user to become dizzy and even causing a stroke, and after it resulted in many injuries and deaths, it was banned in most countries and discontinued as a product. It was secretly developed in collaboration with the Anima 71 cult.
