The Gladstone Incident was an incident that occurred near a BioCorp facility in Gladstone, Kansas City, where nearly 40 human bodies began to slowly float out of a nearby storm drain in public view after severe weather, causing panic. The partially-underground facility had been storing bodies of failed clinical trial participants in an underground chamber previously believed to be a cellar due to the failure of incinerators, but the chamber was actually a storm overflow tank connected to the city water systems, which flooded during the weather event. The contamination from the corpses forced the city to temporarily shut down the water system, rendering drinking water unavailable for nearly a week.
