DECINET

DECINET (DEscent Converged Infrastructure Network) is Raven’s airgapped network for information classified up to and including GAMMA, which represents the majority of information processed during Raven’s daily operational activities. It is available at most Raven facilities and onboard military vessels, as well as at SCIFs in some IRTO facilities and facilities of contractors such as Metatron and CORE Group. The security of the network is maintained using Hardline network encryptors operating in RAC-III mode, which utilise keys that rotate hourly. The network implements several facilities, including the DECINET Telephony System (DTS), a system for voice telephony.

Like most other networks, DECINET implements a message precedence system, with Routine (R), Priority (P), Immediate (O), Flash (Z), and Flash Override (Y) designators. Flash only sees use in Reality Critical scenarios, such as an active calamity; examples include Calamity Mitigation tactical or dispatch communications. Flash Override is almost never used, and would be used if there was an active calamity of such a high severity it took precedence over any current calamity in progress.
