Interdiction Matrix

Interdiction Matrix is an interdiction field system manufactured by Metatron. As a particle-based interdiction system, it is certified at Class 4 of IS-2171-177 for the protection of reality critical areas such as The Labyrinth and the Sigma Unit at Black Mountain. Its detection mode works via a number of embedded panels (called "cells") throughout a facility's walls; these panels both send out particles akin to radar or x-ray and receive them, creating a precise image of the target akin to radar and a three-dimensional map of the secure space. The lethal engagement mode increases the energy of the particles emitted so greatly that the target is effectively vaporised from ablation.

Interdiction Matrix is able to integrate with inwards-facing graviton projectors to create what are known as Immobilisation Countermeasures (ICs), a capability designed bespoke for Raven. ICs are a proprietary non-lethal method of actively preventing a target from moving inside the secure perimeter until a response team arrives. ICs are used within the Sigma Unit to instantly immobilise anyone who triggers an alarm.
