Industrial Rack Mount

From Calamity Wiki

Industrial Rack Mount (IRM) is a novel standard which uses bulkier, ruggedised equipment racks, similar to server racks, to mount modular industrial process machinery. The concept behind IRM is to reduce single points of failure and enable easier replacement of devices. IRM systems are used by many industries, including civil engineering, petrochemical, and science. Examples of IRM machines are the K7600 Rackmount Acid Mixer and the Petroleum Processing Unit (PPU) developed by Merienne Petrochemical.
