Duga-3

The Duga-3 is an abandoned over-the-horizon radar system located in Chornobyl, Ukraine. Unlike the radar arrays Duga-1 and Duga-2, the Duga-3 was in fact home to a top secret project by the Russian military to replicate the functionality of Weather Run, an experimental weather control system being developed by Küiser Laboratories and the United States government. Ultimately, the system was never successfully replicated, and the project ended up scrapped.

The Duga-3 control complex featured a unique courtyard, housing a massive transformer to supply grid power to the structure, and multiple tesla coils resembling Weather Run resonators that fed into the radar array. The control building set directly adjacent to it, containing a large amount of monitoring equipment. After the conclusion of the project, the complex was abandoned, and over the years gutted of its equipment by vandals and looters.
