The Stirling Derailment was an accident in late 2029 caused when, during a heavy storm, an off-course Archon test missile launched from the United States of America as a test of the intercontinental Archon guidance system hit a 107 ScotRail train destined for Edinburgh. All persons on board were killed instantly. It was considered to be the deadliest train accident in modern history, with 273 fatalities.
