The European Orbital Shipyard (EOS) is an orbital shipyard, space station, and orbital space colony co-developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and Pacific Industrial Science, as well as receiving funding from the Coalition via the Interstellar Space Agency. Launched in the 2270s and assembled over the subsequent decades, the station participated in the assembly of Thetis II and Thetis III during the Thetis Program. In the present day, the EOS partners with Pacific Launch, a subsidiary of Pacific Industrial Science, to provide interstellar spaceflight capability to nations without their own launch infrastructure, including the Thames Republic, the Republic of Wales, Ireland, and parts of the Central African Union.

Aside from its primary designation as a shipyard, the EOS also operates as an industrial space station, with accommodation, amenities, facilities for research and industry, and its own spaceport. It has strong logistical links to the Marsielle-Vienna lunar colony, which provide it with its main supply of resources. The EOS is seen as far more desirable to work on than a corporate station or shipyard operated by CORE Group or Paradigm, and as such the demand for positions there is high.
