Megacorporation
A megacorporation (often abbreviated megacorp or just corp) is a massive, monopolistic corporation that often possesses vast political influence. In humanity, megacorporations like CORE Group, Metatron, BioCorp, Paradigm, Q Labs, and Sektor Aerospace act as both the driving forces for some of humanity's most monumental technological and societal advances, as well as its most impactful and destructive disasters and calamities. Many megacorporations, especially those with a focus on exophysics, form part of the Military-Industrial-Scientific Complex, an industrial and political system where Raven and its contractors mutually benefit from one another, with megacorps making immense profits in the process of defending humanity from exophysical threats, which were historically often the fault of the corporations themselves.
