Elias Montgomery
Elias Montgomery was a physicist at Küiser Laboratories responsible for developing Weather Run, an experimental weather control program. He possessed an intense obsession with Nikola Tesla's work, believing it possible to control the weather using electromagnetism. Many at Küiser viewed him as a conspiracy theorist or hack, but he did prove his ideas successful, if much less effective than he thought, with his Weather Run towers.
After the project was defunded in 2030, Dr. Montgomery was relocated onto a mundane research team at Küiser as punishment for his failures. He later left the company before its collapse and attempted to start his own organisation to solve the weather control problem, but after this too was unable to obtain funding he fell into a deep depression and later died in 2043 from a drug overdose. He had a single son, Oscar Montgomery, who attempted to continue his work.
