GRID Sentinel

GRID sentinels are fixed ground-mounted robots produced by Metatron which contain dual-head Guided-Ray Irradiator (GRID) beam generators, and are protected by a built-in Dynamic Containment Array (DCA) forcefield transparent to photons. Their design purpose is to protect high-security areas which may encounter anomalous threats, such as Vertex facilities, Metatron laboratories, and Black Mountain.

Sentinels use an Interdiction Matrix based interrogation system protected by RAC-III IFF. If a target fails to pass, the unit will immediately power up the GRID generators and sweep the room until all targets are eliminated. The power levels at which GRID runs means even non-biological entities will almost certainly be destroyed by the sweep.
