The Qube Reactor is a miniature singularity reactor manufactured by CORE Energy in the 2200s. It has a total lifetime of approximately 20 years, and never needs to be refuelled. It is a high-end power source that is a competitor to the Neutronium Electron Lattice Cell. The singularity is kept in containment not by a conventional magnetic field, but by a forcefield that negates its gravitational field and ensures that it is light enough to be portable.

Mechanically, the reactor is a heat engine that harnesses the Hawking radiation of the singularity. It uses the Red Acid exofluid as a thermal transfer medium, but is often prone to overheating. It utilises Voimaflex to convert the heat to energy and then transfers it out via RTSC links to avoid the requirement of bulky heavy-duty conductors. A vacuum around the singularity is maintained at all times to prevent nuclear fusion with the molecules in the air and electrical arcing caused by EHV in the thermoelectric pack.
