Ikechol

Ikechol is a dimension at Depth D-1. It is the closest dimension in proximity to Sagol, and also the most similar. It is mostly defined by geopolitical differences. For example, Raven is present, but as the First Incursion was never triggered, the Dimensional Security Accords were never passed and hence the Interdimensional Research Treaty Organisation (IRTO) retains its original power. Because of this, the reigning Military-Industrial-Scientific Complex that exists in Sagol is much less prominent.

Diplomatic channels are open between Sagol and Ikechol, which are regulated by Raven, and remain on good terms; however, it is viewed as one of the most dangerous dimensions in close proximity, as it possesses nearly the same amount of technological advancement as Sagol. Exophysics is still heavily regulated in Ikechol, but by IRTO instead of Raven, and in a much less draconian manner. The dimension frequently trades technology and research with Sagol, however, this is a channel which is regulated on both sides for dimensional security reasons.

Science

The continual avoidance of incursions within Ikechol despite the non-existence of a powerful Raven within the dimension has been aided by the exchange of scientific information between Sagol and Ikechol. Effectively, Sagol has acted akin to a mentor to Ikechol, helping it to avoid many of humanity’s mistakes made in Sagol that made the militarisation of Raven a necessity.
