UNIT
UNIT is a non-blockchain-based, decentralised, regulated, and taxable electronic human currency, which is the foundation of international, interplanetary, and interstellar trade within the Coalition. It is not privacy-preserving by default, though third-party add-ons to the protocol are available for anonymity. Tokens, known as units (U€), are roughly equivalent in value to euros. The protocol originated shortly after the Second Space Race as a currency to bridge the economies of Earth and Mars while adapting to the latency restrictions of spacecom systems.
