Reactus Sector

Reactus was a sector in the Girvan Offshore Science Facility (GOSF) that housed a prototype reactor known as the Avernus Cavity Reactor. Alongside the reactor core itself, this sector contained cooling, fuel handling, and waste processing systems as well as instrumentation and control equipment.

Of all the sectors in the facility, Reactus was the smallest, owing to the difficulty and expense of such deep-level excavation, even for Nevrin. Because of this, some equipment, including some cooling infrastructure, had to be situated on the Arctarus level directly above the cavern.
