West Coast Free States
Appearance
The West Coast Free States is a coalition of 9 states that seceded from the United States of America and declared independence, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. The coalition is aligned firmly to the left on the political compass and based on socialist and egalitarian principles. The coalition is closely allied with Canada, and historically held tense relations with the neighbouring Republic of Texas, with which it shares a border, though these tensions began to die out after the Texan Civil War and the formation of the Gulf Coast Alliance. As of the 23rd century, the coalition is a member of the New American Union.
