Usage

{{pronoun|<username>|<type [optional]>}}

Refers to the user specified with a gender-appropriate pronoun based on the value set in their preferences. Note that many users have not specified a gender.

|1= or first unnamed parameter
Name of the user in question, without the "User:" prefix.
|2= or second unnamed parameter
Type of pronoun. Optional, defaults to "sub".
|or= using any value
Joins both pronouns with an "or" conjunction. Optional, defaults to use of singular they.
  • sub for subjective (he, she, if |or= is used, he or she, if not, they)
  • obj for objective (him, her, if |or= is used, him or her, if not, them)
  • pos for possessive (his, her, if |or= is used, his or her, if not, their)
  • poss for following possessive (his, hers, if |or= is used, his or hers, if not, theirs)
  • / for standard rendering of personal pronouns on mention (he/him, she/her, they/them)
  • // for the same, with an added possessive (he/him/his, she/her/hers, they/them/theirs)

  • {{pronoun|//}} → they/them/theirs
  • {{pronoun|Example|poss|or=yes}} → his or hers
