Arbroath Nuclear Disaster

The Arbroath Nuclear Disaster was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred at the HELIOS-managed Arbroath Nuclear Power Plant. The disaster was notable for its attempted cover-up by the company, which attempted to prevent it from being reported to the IAEA and launched an Archon missile at the house of an engineer threatening to blow the whistle on the negligent safety practices at the plant. After the engineer survived and went to the press, the attempt turned into an international controversy and ultimately contributed to souring ideals of the company to Scots, acting as one of the key factors to ignite the later Independence Wars.
