Teletube

Teletube® was a pneumatic capsule system originally developed by Nevrin for transporting research personnel between underground installations such as the London Underground City. The system was later revised by Küiser Laboratories for transport between Weather Run sites.

Operation

Capsules were pill-shaped, horizontally elongated, and large enough to fit two passengers, or one passenger with cargo, sitting down. After pneumatics pushed the capsule into the station, both the exterior transport pipe and the interior capsule doors would open. The passenger(s) would then assume an angled seating position and select a station from a panel, after which the doors would close and the capsule would depart.
