Archangel (Weapon)

Archangel is a man-portable C-RAM system developed by Helios Corporation, designed to combat drones, UAVs, and lightly armoured aircraft. It comes in the form of a large black case, which unfolds and arms into its fully deployed state after being given the proper authorisation code. The system has been instrumental in the defence of small installations where the deployment of a full, permanent air defence system is not practical or cost efficient.

The Archangel system's main mechanism of operation is are two incredibly fast flechette guns, capable of up to 80,000 rounds per minute and firing independently. A tracking radar and laser range-finding system allow the turrets to lock on and engage with sub-second accuracy. The weapon usually fires in ~50ms bursts, and the case's internal magazine can fit 20,000 rounds, with the option of attaching external magazines via an ammunition belt for longer engagements.
