Anti-Proliferation Front

The Anti-Proliferation Front (APF) is an advocacy group based in the Thames Republic that operates against the proliferation of extremely dangerous technologies. It has historically advocated for the discontinuation of research into adaptive nanotech due to its potential for a global "grey goo" scenario on par with the existential hazards of exophysical anomalies, and successfully lobbied for Coalition-enforced international restrictions on nanotech.

CORE Group in particular has attempted to discredit the APF, viewing it as stifling innovation and the ability to bring their nanotech products to market. Raven's Strategic Intelligence Office began secretly backing the organisation after its own Black Research nanotech division, which had originally been working with CORE to enhance Calamity Mitigation operatives with nanotech in Project Alderon, became terrified of the technology and pulled all funding from the project.
