Wilhelm Schmitz Research Facility

The Wilhelm Schmitz Research Facility was an advanced Gen 3 bridge laboratory that acted as the flagship of the Interdimensional Research Treaty Organisation (IRTO); until its destruction in 2227, in an attempted takeover by the Anomaly Rights Coalition that resulted in its Facility Termination System (FTS) triggering. It was named after Wilhelm Schmitz, a pioneer of exotic particle beam technology, and built as part of the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) national research centre in Hamburg, Germany.
