Cyborg
A cyborg is an augmented organic being who has had one or more body components replaced or enhanced with cybernetics (artificial equivalents). A cyborg can possess an almost fully-artificial body; the defining characteristic between a cyborg and a synthetic is whether their mind resides in biology or an engineered computer. Nearly the entire population of humanity is some form of cyborg by the 2100s; while some "purists" still reject the concept, instead preferring the path of biomodding or rejecting all alterations entirely.
The most common and socially acceptable cybernetic augmentations include the installation of an IDAS implant, an implanted identification device that serves as a passport and digital wallet, and a cybernetic computer, an embedded computer that links with one's mind via a brain-computer interface in order to accelerate and offload processing tasks.
