Tachlat

Tachlat is a dimension at Depth D-2. It is defined by its greater geopolitical differences than Ikechol (Depth D-1). It lacks a unified Coalition, and neither Raven nor IRTO exists. Instead, the Council of Exotic Artefact Affairs (CEAA) runs humanity from the shadows, in a fierce rivalry with the Aegis Institute. The world's political systems are more cutthroat, and exophysical science is hidden or disguised as "magic". Unlike Ikechol, which is engaged in constructive diplomacy with Sagol, Tachlat is actively hostile to Sagol, because it perceives it as an existential threat; however, it is neutral with Ikechol, which the governments of Sagol do not appreciate.

Many of Sagol humanity's fortifications against cross-dimensional activity, such as manifold stabiliser and grid control systems exist because of Tachlat. On multiple occasions the dimension has attempted to infiltrate Sagol and its secure facilities to obtain intelligence and scientific materials, with one high-profile attempt to bridge inside Black Mountain actually succeeding. The dimension is considered to be in a "cold war" with Sagol because of this, and both sides continue to be actively involved in intelligence operations against each other.
